I want to see if Home Depot or a hardware store has a plug. I'm assuming its SAE since i personally have never seen a metric. I was guessing like 3/4? Anyone happen to know?

Thanks

Good luck i tried to do the same thing but could find nothing to work. I ended up cutting the egr tube about 1/4 of an inch after the threaded peice (leave enough to fill with a bolt and weld it in there). You want the tube and more importantly the flare on the end of the threading that goes into the manifold to be able to move around freely. Thast way when you tighten it, it will still use the flare to seal. I hope this makes sense, I am really tired.

Thanks for the heads up. I had a old EGR pipe taht i had cut and was going to weld and cant find it, and i dont want to cut the one i'm using now just incase i need it for inspection next time. I'm hoping to find a pipe plug. What size pipe plug did you try?

Part number 14052-21R00 from the dealer. This plug cost me $5.38 from Courtesy.

24mm x 1.5

I know because I had problems with the threads on my Stillen header and made sure with the tap and die set I bought it included this size.
