Ok, I searched and though clunking noises from the front end are well covered I do not believe the previous answers cover my question.
I justed installed my KYB's and Hyperco's and now I get a clunking noise on the drivers side when turning the wheel hard to the right or left. I am going to try and look at this on Sat. so any help would be great.

Betcha' a shiny nickel that one of the front springs isn't seated in the perch correctly. And/or the rubber gasket between the spring and strut is out of whack/moving around.
Took me forever to find it.
If not that....then check the front swaybar bushing(s). I discovered one missing entirely from the front of our NX2000 and am tackling that job on Saturday.

I also had this same problem - but after I removed my AGX's and Eibachs and replaced them with the stock suspension.
Basically what happened was the front left assembly was locked up and it was making clunking noises when I turned the wheel - I needed new top pieces.

If it clunks on every little bump or when you turn, it's one of three pieces in the top part of the strut mounting. I had this exact problem, had 2 - yes TWO - suspension/alignment shop look at it, paid one to fix it, which they never did!!! Finally a tech at my local dealership showed me the light.
The first suspect is the little metal/plastic 'thrust bearing' that sits between the top spring perch and the mounting plate that bolts to the fender. The piece can deteriorate over the years & still make no sound - until you replace the strut.
Second piece is the upper strut mount. My tire guy found this one for me. Over time, the little rubber piece in the middle gets compressed over the years, then the new strut is stronger and causes it to move around.
Third piece is the rubber isolator that the top of the spring sits against. Same deal - it gets crushed from years of use. Now the new spring is probably a little shorter, or sits in the rubber piece a little different - whammo - lots of creaks & clunks.
Sorry for the long post. I spent almost $200 on new mounts, rubber, etc. from a discount Nissan dealer - and it was worth every penny of it.
Good luck...

Wow, thanks for the info. I know I didn't post this problem, but I had the same problem and my mechanic suggested the upper front mount was worn out, just like you said.

Ain't no thang. I figure maybe someone else can save time/money by learning from my mistakes.
Now my car is TIGHT, like showroom new suspension, except for the worn out inner tie-rod on the passenger's side :(
Gotta fix that next...
