Is this the ECU that everyone uses for a stock BB setup?
(Hopefully it is not too small to read the sticker)

This one is the one I recieved from JWT for my BB setup in my 1993 B13. I only ask becuase I am having some issues with it, (car doesn't want to start), and I just want to start from the top. The car will run with the DE ECU, but once I put the JWT, it just cranks. Neither ECU is in diagnostic mode, however I don't know if the ECU status LED comes on with the JWT. (It was getting late, and I was getting frustrated). I should have some more info tomorrow. It just seems like if the car runs with the DE ECU (more importantly, starts) the JWT at least be able to do that. Oh well, I guess nothing is easy with this car. Feel free to comment.

Thanks
Doug

Yes, that is the right program. If you are having back to back problems with the ECU, give JWT a call. There have been a few isolated cases of bad core ECUs or some other damage (static, dropped during shipping, etc) so you may have just gotten a freak unit.. Do you have adequate fuel pressure? This could be an issue if it starts with the DE ecu (more pulsewidth) and not the 370cc program.

I am not sure on the fuel pressure. I will look into it. Thanks.

Does the check engine light come on with the key in the "on" position and engine off?

If not, then it might be a bad ECU.

Well, got a chance to look into my JWT ECU issues this morning. I adjusted the TPS to 0.48V closed and 4.06V @ WOT. Before they were 0.30V and 3.78V, so I thought I had my answer. Changed cap and rotor, along with the fuel filter to be safe. Plug in JWT ECU, just crancking, no start. Plenty of fuel, no spark. Pull the codes, 2 long flashes, and 1 short flash, code 21. Look it up in the Haynes manual "Ingition signal in the primary circuit is not entered during engine cranking or running." Plug in DE ECU fires right up. Bad ECU? I am going to call on Monday.

I had the same problem happen to me but it was with a BB ECU and a DE ECU. I would plug in the BB ECU and my car wouldn't start but the DE would run my car fine. I took it to the $tealership and they hooked up the Consult to it and it came back as "primary ign circuit" to be bad.

So what was the solution? ECU?

I am calling them (JWT) tomorrow, I think with that code, there is nothing that I can do to fix it. Same problem that SR20RACER had with a BB ECU.

Finally, I got my ECU back from JWT. They repaired it free of charge, and now it works great. (Car will actually start now). I am real curious to see how much a difference it would make on the dyno. I dynoed last week on the DE ECU and made 205WHP.
