From GA16DE to SR20DE
I wondered if the headers, exhaust, CAI, JWT ECU, and pulley that goes on a GA16DE engine can fit on a SR20DE or a SR20DET engine?

No, I dont think any of that can switch over.

this is an SR20DET, emphasis on the T.

I replied to the clone of this post in the technical section. The ECu and headers won't work, the CAI might work on a DE if it's 3" piping, the exhaust might work on a DE if it's 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" and will stifel a DET. I was thinking the pulleys wouldn't work because they are listed as a different part #, but I think sprayinser might be right about some of the pulleys working. Needlesss to say a CAI and headers wouldn't apply to a DET anyway.

I orginally purchased a Place Racing CAI for my GA16DE and when I sold the car and bought a SR20DE I asked the mailing list if the GA intake would work or if the pipe size would be too small.
Geo responded that it would just fine and that (IIRC) some people were getting great results with slightly smaller diameter CAI's.
I'll check the archives and see if I can find the post.
The only modification I did to the CAI was to the MAF adapter plate. It worked fine and I had zero problems.

Okay found it.
From the Mailing List archives:
Here is the question I asked:
If this is in the archives I apologize but I can never
find anything in them. I sold my 95 200 SE and bought
a 97 SE-R. I took the Place Racing CAI off the GA16DE
and modified it just a little bit to make it fit the
SR20DE but my question is... Is this a good idea?
Are the intakes that are made for the SE-R of a larger
diameter? Would I benefit from getting an SE-R CAI or
should I just not worry about it.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about that, but there have been some experiments with smaller
size piping. The common SE-R pipes are 3" dia. Some good folks in NorCal
have been working with 2.5" dia CAIs with good results. Others have found
no difference, but the NorCal folks continue to show gains each time they
dyno.

Keep in mind that this was in June 2001 and things might have changed since then.
On a side note, it looks like I can find stuff in the archive now.
