It's almost 100% bolt in. You can esily use your stock harness without a problem. Use all JDM sensors except for O2, TPS and coolant temp sensors, use the ones out of your stock motor. You may also need to grind away some of the webbing by the oil pan for clearance issues, some people need to grind to make it fit, while others have motor that slid right in with no grinding. One thing that may be difficult would be fabricating intercooler piping, if you decide to go frount mount without a pre-made kit.

most of the info i have gathered doing a search tells me to get the bb ecu or the jwt ecu, any preferences toward either one? if i go with the bb ecu will evereything else be compatible?

A BB ECU will have a 109mph speed limiter. Also some people have trouble wuth getting a BB ECU to run their car properly, some beleive that there are different versions of this ECU, some are compatible with the stock MAF, some are not. So if you are going to use a BB ECU, it's a good, inexpensive alternative to JWT if it works properly, but there is still a slight risk that it will not.
