I'm looking to buy wheels obviously and the ones I would like to get are 42mm offset. I read some where that ours was 40mm. Would that make a difference? They are 17" think they would rub?

B14 stock wheels are 15x6 w/ a 40mm offset. Anytime you increase the width of the wheel, you "should" go down in offset size so you don't get into rubbing w/ suspension components. Always good to stay within minus 5 mm(35mm) or plus 5 mm from stock(45mm), since 5mm is 3/16 of an inch in measurement.

The higher the offset, the more you are putting the wheel towards the suspension components.

Yeah, if you like your wheels sticking out or rubbing your fender.
