sometime in mid april there will be a three day car and truck show i dont know the date as of yet but will keep you posted on it when i get more info

are you talking about slamfest? i think it's in farmington, nc or something. it's listed in the back of a truckin' magazine i have. i don't know where farmington is, but it sounds like a pretty sweet show.

Farmington... There will be tons of ricey cars, & wannabe lowriders(nothing nice & classy...crap like Berettas w/ hydros). The import scene is pretty weak out that way. Mostly Hondas(dont get me wrong I own a civic play/track car)...Civs & Tegs with big kits & the like. Tons of decals on everything.

I wouldn't make the trip from too far out if I were you guys. Unless you like hydrolaulics & altezza lights on S-10 Blazers & stuff like that :]

Then again, maybe it's changed in the last couple of years...I haven't been out that way lately.

Maybe someone should come & show them what's really going on. There will most likely be drag racing too, since it's held at the drag strip... I haven't read up on any of the details.

yeah theres not much of an import scene out near winston salem, but its getting bigger, i usually run at farmington dragway on friday nights. its about 40 minutes from my house. usually the shows out there are decent but nothing to brag about, but if its listed in a magazine maybe it will be bigger. i can give you directions there if you want them, just let me know. heres their link www.farmingtondragway.com

i was at a tuner shop in greenville tuesday and saw a flyer for a show in greenville sometime soon. i think it was called Slam Session. (or something to that effect)

Mapquest says i'm about 60 miles from washington. looks like greenville blvd. turns into 264, and i follow that into washington?
oh, and might i suggest JK Motorsports in winterville. nice place, and a guy there does DET swaps in every 240 he finds. (or at least tries-all his family members have them)

i'd like to go at least 2 out of the 3 days. i might not be able to on friday though. i get off work @ 5, and we got free tix to see widespread panic in raleigh on the 25th. still not sure if we'll go though. but g-ville is only 30 minutes from where i live, so i can easily go for half of saturday, and possibly sunday if i'm not working.
