Was just wondering how many N/A members have gauges.

1) Where did you place them (pillar, under the radio, ...)
2) What kind of gauges do you have?
3) What size?
4) Is it really rice to have gauges in a N/A vehicle?

TIA for the feedback.

Depends on what you're talking about. If you're talking about a chunky soup tach with a shift light on it the size of a roll of toilet paper mounted on the dash, no. I don't go for that.

I've been running an oil pressure gauge for years though, mounted just in front of the shifter, on that flat spot under the ashtray (removed). I don't think it's rice, and it saved my engine once, when an oil filter blew off and all the oil left the engine.

I'm now adding water temperature and a boost gauge as well.

why would it be rice to have guages in a n/a car? as long as they are functional i dont see why thwy would be.

I have guages in my car that are totaly functional. Most of the time I run my car NA!
1.) Pillar
2.) Autometer Air/Fuel, Autometer Oil pressure, Auto meter Volt
3.) LOL!!! Not sure I think 2 inches
4.) No its not rice to have guages in a NA car. Andreas Miko has guages in his 200 whp NA car. Is that rice???

I don't see the point of this poll. Gauges are important to running a car. I do not have any in my car, but its an easy way to keep track of vital info.

I have Splitfire 2" voltmeter (soon to be replaced with water temp) and oil pressure gauges on the "A" pillar. I believe, that they are functional and not "ricey".

Its not ricey, i think ricey is when u already have a functional tach and u put a monster tach on your car. Just my opinion though

You can use your stock tach, if you dont want to be looking down at it, get a shift light. But I think the bnig ass tachs are not necessary if your car came with one in the first place.

BTW, I'm running oil press, water temp, and boost. Back in my all motor days, I had just water temp and oil press, probably 2 of the most important ones to have.

Even if they have a 5 guage spread, I dont think thats rice ALL the time. I had 4 guages in my old car that were all duplicates, but they were accurate, and had more than a H-----C on them. Oh yea, the infamous - (insert battery logo here) +....Josh

Autometer phantom; tach, boost, oil press, water temp, EGT.

Nitrous and Fuel press coming soon to a B12 you wish were near you.

I got indiglo's but the guy that installed them threw away the box w/ the button that controls the color changing, so one time they would be green, the other they would be blue. I got them installed because I have 2 blue neons under the seat :) Yes I know, rice rice rice!!
