I had to replace my drivers side door a few weeks back...and it was from a different year i believe. The wiring harness in the door didnt work quite right, the windows didnt go up or down, (passenger side either), and the window switches actually made the doors lock and unlock. The gauges were also messed up, if the lights were turned on, the gauges turned off. When the lights were turned off, the gauges turned on. So I went ahead and put the wiring harness from my old door into the new door, now everything but the gauges works correctly. They dont light up at all, so I have no idea how fast I am going at night. The needles still move, all the indication lights light up (ebrake, check engine, directionals, etc.) but the needles dont light up and the background doesnt light up at all..its just black. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe a connection got knocked loose while hooking up the wires for the door or somethin..i dunno...tia

Check the dimmer switch. Does the HVAC illumination still work? My interior lights would just got out sometimes. The dealer replaced my dimmer under warranty.
