I have a stock DET with an AVC-R boost controller and I'm having a tough time dialing out boost creep. What puzzles me is that when I have it in stock boost, the boost creeps up to .63 mm Hg, which I believe translates to ~9lbs of boost, then settles down to .50 mm HG or 7lbs of boost.

Is this type of boost creep normal in the stock setting and how do I get rid of it?

Right now I can't set boost any higher than 9 lbs because at that setting it creeps to 12 lbs.

how long is the vacuum line? if its too long then that could be a problem. keep it as close to the wastegate as possible. otherwise i cant think of anything else. avcrs are known to be a good boost controller. the only problem i know of is when your switching between high boost to low boost, but nothing with boost creep.

It's more like a boost spike. Even in stock boost, at WOT it overshoots stock boost by about 2lbs before it settles down. Could it be a tired wastegate?

Your suppost to remove the stock restrictor pill. Did you do that?

I bought the car with the engine swap already done. How do I check to see if the restrictor pill has been removed?
