Hey,
I pulled the cams today and found a (now confirmed) dead DE. A piece of a rocker arm was wedged under my S4 and broke that as well as gouging the block right at the HLA at the same time. That adjuster is siezed in the block and will not come out, even w/ vise grips. Broke the timing chain also, damn it. Saw that when I removed the lower oil pan & baffle. I didn't remove the head yet, but I'm sure some valves contacted the pistons and are bent.
I did find the missing piece to my S4, and all the pieces of my broken rockers. Instead of rebuilding, I'm gonna buy an Avenir longblock to throw my Avenir turbo kit onto. This will be easier and faster for me to fix my car. Hopefully I can have the LB here by the 18th. to put in that weekend.
I'll have an update in the following weeks on my progress. Oh, I have a mostly complete 95 DE to part out if anyone needs a thing. later
