on b14's it seems like the front isnt as low as the back... so i was wondering when i get some coilovers will it hurt to put the front down like .5" lower then the back? or what does everyone else do?

The larger fender well gives the car theillusion that its not as low in the front because of the bigger fender gap. The car will be lowered equally, if you drop the front more, it will be slanted forward. You can do it though, but it might mess with your alignment, and you'll be going through tires in no time.

Take a look at my sig pic, the car sits leveled, but the front looks higher, because of the larger fender opening.

I have my front about 1/2" lower than the back, looks much better and drives the same. Any time you switch the spring height you will need alinment.
