For a 95 200SX SE-R 5-spd.
I need to see a code cause my check engine light is on. I think the box is under the between-seats console, am I right and how do I get at it ?

Its in the center console down by your feet. it has a plastic cover over it.

I found / accessed the ECM OK.
Kind of a finger puzzle to get the cover off etc, but not real bad. The pictures in my chilton book make semse now.
So I got the code and tis: 1 long flash follwed by 4 shorties. Any y'all
sitting on a FSM could tell me what that means ? Again many thanks.

Both my '96 FSM and my '92 FSM say its the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Does your speedo work?

Yes, speedo's fine and car seems totally O.K.
I guess I should check connections and mebbe replace speed sensor, do you know location of the beast ? I'll look at my chilton book, but it's usually wretched about clear location info. -- Thanks !
