Well, i will be starting on my turbo project soon and have a question about the MAF. I will start out using the stock turbo on my future DET and shoot for 270-300whp(T-25 or T-28). Can i just get a cobra MAF from the start so when i upgrade (everyone knows i will:rolleyes: ) i don't have to get another MAF and possibly have the ECU reprogrammed?

Well to make it worth your time you will have to get bigger injs also. If you are going to be happy with 260-300 WHP the just do a bored MAF and JWT 4 bar comp for 370cc injs. If youare going for over 300 WHP then you will have to get bigger injs with the larger MAF. I would get a 300zx MAF and MSD 50 LB injs and have JWT do a 4 bar program with that setup. This setup will cost less than the Cobra setup.

So it's possible to run large injectors and maf with a small turbo? At least until, you're ready to upgrade.

great. That's what i'll do. then i wont have downtime on the ECU when i decide to go more boost. Andreas-do you make custom rails?? I will be looking for one with the nismo FPR pre-bent with a FP guage built in. I know you can muster that Dre...hit me back.

hey sorry to jack your thread but what do you guys think about running the 50lb and cobra maf while still n/a....with the jwt turbo ecu programed for this stuff....or is it going to be running too rich, im sure it probably would but just a thought.....been pondering about this because thats what i got and want to put it in and just throw in turbo later....any comments....

JDM_2ner, I have fuel rails, Nismo FPR and guages. Anythime you are ready lets rock.

gun_metalz, You can run the setup you listed below with no problems NA. The car will not run rich because the comp is programed for the injs. Remeber the comp only suplies more fuel as the voltage goes up and a NA motor will only pull a given percent of voltage that it is using. What I am trying to say is the car will run fine.

I'll second Andreas's comment with fact. I have a NA engine and am running MSD 50 lb injectors with the stock MAF and JWT computer programmed for it all. I have no problems. Why? I'll be going to a decent size shot of nitrous soon that I hope will get me close to 300 hp.
