Yeah, check this site out, they do alot of DSM, but they can mod any T25. I know somebody that did this to a 240 with SR20 det, he said it ran a 12.02 at the track, and with a shitty 60ft time.

We also had this done to my friends turbo. It was built by MIC Turbo in Miami, FL. It works very well!!

Hey Serban,

My turbo's on its way to Majesticturbo for a rebuild right now. What turbine and compressor wheels did MIC put in? Did they change the housings?

Cheers,
Charlie :)

How do I know if a T25 has T28 internals? Does anyone know what I should look for? I have a T25 that was rebuilt by MIC Turbo...the guy I bought it from swears it's a T28...the casing says otherwise!

the "BIG28" they said they ran 21psi,,,a t25 with t28 guts can really be efficent at 21psi???

Here in Quebec City, the same mod can be done for a little below 600$US!

Well, that sounds like a better deal, do they have a web site, and do you know anybody that has one running.

well, I would think that at 21psi would be the max on it, and running it at 21psi daily, wouldn't last to long.

It's best points are bolt on and go, and good spool up.
You would need to upgrade fuel&ECU+Fmic.

I don't know the person personnaly, but I know it's been done many times in their shop. The pros are that you have the very same turbo, same lines, same piping and you have a rebuilt and better turbocharger.

http://www.fortune1000.ca/turbo-expert/

Their web site is in French tough

But what they say on it is mainly:

- Sell and repair turbochargers
- 20 years experience
- 1 year warranty on every turbo sold or repaired

They don't talk about this mod on their website, I think it's just a very brief presentation of their business.

You can get a new GTi-R T-28 for about $600. It will make more power than the rebuilt turbo, and it is a new OEM Garrett turbo that is built to much better quality than any aftermarket outfit can do.

Rebuilt turbos aren't cost effective for what you get.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing

the T25 built to T28, for $800, just seems to high, not a very good bang for the buck.

Yea, but when you factor in the cost of a new dp alone, thats your money saved with the upgrade, much less anything else....Josh

yeah, you are right about that, but the only thing that keeps me away from going with this setup, just how long will this turbo last boosting it 15-18psi daily?

I dont really know. All I know is I want to up mine to something. Anything. I hate knowing that I can easily max out my t-25. Really thinking about t-28, but then I have alot of parts to get, but I could sell my setup I guess....Josh
