I have a u13 bb goin turbo and Im unsure on which to get as narrowing down to a t3/t04e but recently checked out the ball bearing hks turbos. I only have 1500 to spend turbo, manifold, downpipe. I know sr20performance has that one kit for sale but jgy said he could do something for me with a hks turbo. What you guys think???????????????? This car is for mostly street some street.

for the HKS the turbo itself is usually over 1600 then you need a BB manifold and a custom downpipe. I don't think you will be able to keep it under 1500. Now, SR20Performance will get you a T3/T04E turbo/protech manifold/3" downpipe for that price. It is definitely cheaper for the T3/T04E but the true performace turbo for peak HP and lowest lag is the ball bearing HKS. Speed costs money and how much do you want to spend.

jgy said he could get me one for 1000 plus 260 for the manifold and 200 for the downpipe so its just a matter of whats better??????

What HKS turbo is Jason getting you for $1000? I know the popular HKS 3037 won't go that cheap unless it is used. The Very close and popular Incon BB37 was 1400 also. But, if he can hook you up then go HKS, they will hold a ton of power and spool up pretty fast.
And remember what was said above, the SR20Perf. kit comes with the wastegate so see what Jason can hook up for a wastegate if you get it all from him.

I am under the assumption that Jason is quoting you on an Incon turbo not an HKS tubro. If he can get HKS GT Series turbos for $1000.00 I will buy some from him.

it cant be an HKS turbo, if he's talking about an Incon, that still sounds cheap, i paid way over a $1000 for mine

I just looked at that starter kit from sr20performance. What kind of power do you think you could put down with that kit?
Thanks,
