OK so i got the engine in finally with all the parts i needed.
This is a JDM engine.

The car was running fine, had it on to warm it up and all of a sudden the car died and wont start. I know its not fuel or spark since it was running, what can it be. I'm already tired or this because this swap has been taking forever due to th eextra parts i needed.

Just because it was getting fuel and spark don't meant that it isn't now. Did it slowly die or what?

u check the oil?

oil is good, all fluids are fine nothing leaking...

It was on high idle, you know when its warming up its higher then normal... then i think it was going down, it dipped to almost 0 then went back up, then just shut off...

I did a compression test and i got around 160-170 (couldnt tell cause i had a poor assistant =) on all cylinders.

I really dont want to check fuel buy pulling injectors out...
I checked the dist, i dont think im getting spark so i'm gonna get a new one and see from there.

To check the fuel just turn the motor over a few times and pull a spark plug out and see if it smells like gas.

To check for spark pull an injector and set it on the valve cover still attach to the plug wire. Pull the injector clip for that cylinder. Try to start car. It will be obvious if you've got spark or not.

I dont quite understand what you mean...
You mean pull a plug and set it on the valve cover?

I'll try checking it that way, i thik its better than the way i was doing it

Thats what he means. Pull it out , put the wire back on, and sit it down. While someone tries starting the car, YOU watch the plug and see if it fires.

Haved you checked your firing order??
try taking the fuel rail off (since you don't want to pull an injector) , have a buddy crank it and watch to see if the injectors spray.

Are you sure you have the fuel lines connected properly to the rail. As in the fuel filter to the fpr and the firewall line to the return port on the fuel rail? It seems like there was enough fuel in the rail to fire the car and run then it was used up and the car died, which can be caused if the lines are on backwards.

Well wehn i first started the car up i thought i had the lines switched but it wouldnt start... so i switch them opposite of what you said and it started and was running for a few minutes...

So the car was running and the lines were connected backwards, i figured they would be right since it was running for a few minutes, long enough for the car to go a little past C on the thermostat.

Anyway i tried switching the lines and it still didnt start
I'm almost certain its the distributor

ok I pulled the fuel rail and no fuel!!
wtf? I pu tthem the way coach said and no spray...
i reversed them and no spray again...
I changed the fpr and tried it both ways and still no spray...
i changed fuel rails and tried it both way and no spray...

the fuel pump is fine, its pretty new, a 255lph high output.
I can hear the fuel pump priming and pressurizing...so the fuse should be fine. Anything else i should check?

Also no spark at all. I pulled the plugs and wires and grounded the plug and no spark.

Here is a pic of how i connected the fuel..
Is the flow correct?

Is the hose to the vaccum correct?
