I have a bad strut mount. I don't even know where to look. Is it on top or the bottom.

The reason I ask is b/c for the past 2yrs I have been (lazily) trying to track down a problem with the right front. I have replaced the LCA bushings, sway bar endlinks, wheel bearing, had the dealer retighten the entire front end, and aligned like 50 millon times.

It feels like when I hit a bump the right side is real soft and lazy and the left side feels normal. There is a lot of roll when I turn left and its feels very unstable. But turning to the right is f-ing great, it stciks like glue and is real tight. I don't know whats up, none of the mechanics I've taken it to know whats wrong. It just pisses me of everytime i drive it  . Please help, Please! Its killing me.

Have you tried replacing your struts? It sounds like a problem with the damper itself is blown.

When you describe turning left, much of your car's weight is transferred to the right side. That is the same side you describe as "soft and lazy" over bumps. It leads to bad struts. Good luck with finding a solution!

Aside from looking for leakage is there any other way to check the strut?

Leakage is your best best to find out what's wrong. If your struts have never been changed, or have become quite old (6 yr-old at the minimum I think?), now would be a good time to replace all 4.

Hmm, something must be wrong with them, you may have to take them out and see how they are. Did you get any warranty with those struts?

i am also having the sam e problem on my 95......the front end is tight, i went through everything, because it was bothering me so badly. one thing i do notice is a little play in the steering column when i am moving slowly or stopped, I can hear a click when i turn the wheel back and forth, i don't know if the two are related yet, just wondering if you had the same problem? the cause of the clicking in the steering is most likely the u-joint where the rack and the steering column meet. time is the reason i haven't taken it apart yet, so if anyone has had this problem, please let me know. Struts, springs, and braces all new.....
