My NX2000 has fought the good fight. Almost 40,000 miles travelled in 2 years. Although mostly unscathed, she's had a few battle scars from the neverending war fought with roadways and highways and Hondas. Well, here are the scars and I need some help/advice on if I should/how to repair them.
Front Fender (not sure how it happened, it appeared after being parked at Arby's; logical presumption: hit and run  )

Rear Hatch Rust (quite common, but very hideous. Not even sure how to take the plastic trim off...)

Wheel Caps (also quite common, but equally ugly. I'm on a high school budget so new rims are pretty much out of the question and driving without them just doesnt look right

What are everyone's humble opinions? Live with it all? Prime and paint the rust? Hunt down and kill the miserable soul who dented the fender?

.......if money is tight then I would say to take the fender off, heat up the inside o that dent with a propane torch in a sweeping fashion for a few minutes, lay it on a sand-bag or whatever and give it a couple of good swings with a rubber mallet.....the creased areas are for sure going to lose the paint , but thats ok because your going to brush and primr that when you do the same to the hatch.......you gotta take care of the hatch.........somewhere in the frum is a thread of how to do just that task just search for 3rd brake-light mod/removal/rust/fill......you'll find it....good luck

I simply painted my caps black to match my car, It's better than them being white but I really really need new wheels. (one of my stock wheels died so I have one ugly black wheel)

DanniNX: I really like that idea, I've been messing around with photoshop and I like the way the wheels look with black caps.
Santo51: Keepin my eyes open for a black NX fender...
tick340: Im gonna go out and try your method this afternoon... im holding you responsible if something bad happens... :D

center caps, take em off... theres no paint that will match, and stay on....
hatch, get that fixed real quick before it gets any worse, spend a couple hundred on it...
fender, find a new one!

I wouldn't spent a couple hundred getting that hatch fixed, I bought a whole new non-rusted one for $100 at the local junk yard with the glass, wiper and interior pieces.... it was even the color I needed, bolted right up.

Well I've been working hard on trying to fix up the enects and I finally got the third brake light rust fixed. It wasnt hard at all, I just couldn't find the time. Has anyone ever gone the bondo route that can give me some advice or tips on using it? Or was that a really stupid question because using Bondo is straight forward. I have a few rusted holes I'd like to patch up before I go off to school this fall.

I've looked all over and searched the archived NX forums for 3rd brake light rust etc and I definatly haven't found anything inparticular about fixing the rust. Can someone just send me the link if they know what tick is talking about?
Thanks to all of you who replied... my car owes its life to you.

Bondo is easy, just make sure you mix it right, prep the area correctly, and then paint it well. Glad the car is turning out well.
Later.
