I've come to the conclusion that the greddy is overall one of the best exhausts out there for the sr20, and I think it's fine except for the large tip. If I were to cut the tip off, and replace it with a smaller one, would it effect the noise, power, etc in any negative way?

The tip's just a tip, imo. It has more to do with looks that actually provide you with the noise and/or power factors. That is what the main part of the muffler does for you.

It does not look that bad once you install it. How much can you get it for now-a-days? Still kind of pricy :(

If the tip is bothering you - just get a custom cat-back exhaust. DO NOT by any means modify the tip. It's the noise generator! (lol)

I might just have to go custom; its kind of hard for me to justify spending 500 for a muffler when i can buy intake/headers for the same amt
