The other week I noticed my dash lights were out, so I figure I'll put in a new fuse. POP, that one blows and so do the rest I try. So I start looking at all the wiring to the interior/taillights, and see nothing unusual. My blinkers and headlights work and when you pump the brakes the tails light up but dont come on with the headlights. What is the best way to try and track this short I have? I have a multimeter but haven't ever had to look for a short. Any suggestion will help. TIA

check all of the conections you messed with last first
check all of the taillight bulbs maybe a filiment crossed over check all of the places the parking lights give power
using the multimeter really wont help you until you find which wire it is, but when you do think you have found it use the continuity on the meter. just check all of the obvious stuff first maybe you put a screw threw a wire behind the radio. there is more i am blanking right now though
