OK guys its almost May, and Im still in my winter beater. If anyone could help help me figure out why my car wont start that would be great! I would love to go to some meets, and events to meet you all, but cant if the damn car desnt run soon. Anyways, I have a bbDET swap into a 95 SE-R. The car only sarts when fuel is dumped into the intake elbow. A mechanic is giong to check the iinjector pulse to see if its electrical. I will also ask him to remove the fuel rail and see if the injecotrs are clogged. Anyone else have any ideas? If anyone is close to Concord, NH I could definately use some SR20 experience. TIA ~ josh

I'd love to help you, but I'm only halfway through my det swap in my 95. If you figure it out, let me know in case this happens to me.

Sounds like it has somthing to do with fuel delivery. Are you using the stock det injectors or somthing else? I have heard of some injectors from na jdm motors coming not in working order. I would say it is the injectors or the fuel pump.

If you think its the injectors...try using a noid light. It will blink everytime showing the signal for the injector. From there on you diagnose the situation. If it doesnt it might be your ecu but then again it fires. So my guess would be the fuel pump or relay too like AZ WHITE SE-R stated.

Maybe you reversed the fuel lines at the regulator? Does you fuel pump prime up?

Its really weird...the fuel pump primes, and i get fuel pressure (59psi since I am running the jwt 4 bar/overbored maf set-up). The car is at a mechanics shop right now since Im at school. He told me this Friday he is going to be using a noid light to investigate the fuel pump. He is also going to use one on the plug wires to see what they are doing in relation to the injectors. He may pull the whole injector rail if he is unable to determine anything by using the noid light. I thought it may be the ecu, hwoever after swapping my stock ecu in the car would not start so I do not think the JWT ecu is broken.

Well, Ill update everyone when I find out more. Thanks to everyone for all the input. I appreciate it alot, as Im getting very frustrated since this swap has cost me so much of my money and I cant even drive my car : / Oh well. ~ josh
