my car feels like it has no power throughout first gear unless i get on it. what could it be?

clutch slipping maybe? Dunno, is there any loss of power in the other gears? any odd noises?

Should be Clutch.......1st and 2nd gear is our strongest gears with the most torque and power.....WIERD!!!

yea i think it might be my clutch, i get a weird jerking from about ~1700-~3000 which im not sure about

I know it sounds funny, but keep your nose open and take off, make sure it's circulating air from outside through the vents and you can usually smell the clutch burning if it's slipping really bad...not always, but sometimes. My old escort used to stink bad when the clutch would get old and start slipping like that, heh.

oh i do, but i dont want a useless first gear...it just kinda slowly accelerates but the RPMs seem too sound higher for the MPH im going
