: My dyno numbers
SucKit 05-01-2003, 01:01 PM Well I went to watch my brother dyno and somehow I got on there too. All my runs are at 15psi dropping to 14psi by 5k. Setup is Gti-r with tmic, 9.0:1 Wiseco pistons, 3inch crushbent, JWT ecu/w safc and Tomei 260 w/ 12.0 lift.
1st run was 260.44whp 213.49 trq but a/f ratio was 10.2 then with some tuning it went to 266whp, 272whp and ended with 273.34whp and 236.04 trq ending with a 11.8 a/f ratio. I only have the 1st and last run on...ill try to post it later on. Should I be higher?
2xSE-R 05-01-2003, 01:35 PM Nice #'s.
charlie2020 05-01-2003, 01:38 PM Pretty good numbers.
akapaul 05-01-2003, 01:40 PM Nice numbers! Why did the psi drop?
NyceP26 05-01-2003, 01:47 PM Sounds like a leak somewhere? Did you get everything checked on the IC piping yet? BTW Kick ASS numbers! It felt a lot faster on flatlands that day :)

Verry good # damnnnnnn... you should make more torque IMO... kesi24
How do you like using the S-AFC with the JWT computer? It looks like you were able to extract a decent amount of additional power with it. Nice numbers. I'm assuming a T28 correct?
SucKit 05-01-2003, 03:24 PM Yea it was a T28... no cool down runs at all. With the Safc tuned it gained a max of what looks like 20whp and 23lbs of trq max thoughout the 5k-7.5k. From the looks of it...it was worth it. It was in 3rd gear *** not 4th. Gains from tuning started at 3.7k by the way. Ill bring it to the TEAM Se-rious meet on the 18th if I go.
spdracerUT 05-01-2003, 06:14 PM Hmm... i was thinking you were a bit short on torque too.
sr20det808 05-01-2003, 06:21 PM damn, i wish my car put those numbers out :(

This is something that bothers me as well considering everyone elses torque curve is much more broader. I was thinking the d/p since its flattened out to 2 inches at one spot, maybe the TMIC or my timing considering everytime I try to time it it shows up as 6-7 degrees for the last 7 months. Unless its the cams...but who knows... certainly not me.
SE-Rican 05-01-2003, 07:25 PM Very impressive!

The DP and TMIC could definitely be the probs. I'd get those replaced whenever you get the chance.
rednismo6 05-01-2003, 11:15 PM nice #'s....:)
civicdragon 05-01-2003, 11:59 PM yeah i third the part about making more torque... i may be wrong, but the hp does look ok though
Sr20 B12 05-02-2003, 02:18 AM Simon, I think your whp & tq # should be higher. You can turn up the timing a bit (id say around 10-13 cause you have higher compression), to help lean out that fuel some more. What # plugs are you running?
Sr20 B12 05-02-2003, 02:56 AM This is Kevin's dyno run (http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid55/p403d99b5bf4e464df0aea2f2a3a9edd5/fc7a1441.jpg). For some reason I can't get it any bigger. The first pull is @ 10psi (259whp/237tq), second @ 13psi (289whp/277tq) and third @ 15psi (294whp/299tq).
GTi-R w/8.8:1 Wiseco's, stock ecu, t28, PWR FMIC, Blitz 555cc inj+aeromotive fpr+walbro 255lph pump& 93 octane. See how the AFR is around the same as yours? Way too much fuel. He went with Greddy e-manage since this run and have leaned it out a bit (still needs alittle more fine tuning). Should put down over 300whp's now.

Does the setup is using stock cam ?

Trust me I think it should be higher too. But the timing wont adjust at all. Since the rebuild its been set at 15 degrees I havent moved it but its 6-7 now. If I try to set it at 15 now it will just detonate once in boost so I leave it at dead center. Thats my biggest problem that I cant fix.
Also comparing my curves... its weak really as it looks nothing like everyone elses. Something that comfirms this is the safc...I used to get readings of 82-86 maf percentage when my timing was right now all i get is 68 and thats without cams.

Damn being a SAFC user, I know 68% compared to your 82-86% must feel like there isn't even a turbo on there.
My timing is at 15 degrees and I am pulling 88% airflow now..........I have tried 13 degree but really don't like it, much better throttle responce at 15 degree vs 13.
