well i have my 93 se-r.... grey, and just under 50k on the clock... treating me well, but i always feel bad when i abuse it (autox and such).... cause well, its nearly emaculate. So recently while at the junkyard i found a 92 SE-R shell (bright green, new paint, only been there 2 weeks or so). Well its pretty damn good condition. 300 bucks and i get it delivered. This is the problems though, needs new rear windows (doors back), no front seats, no wheels, no engine. Also it needs a new rear bumper, and the center lights. Otherwise, its in good condition bodywise, brake, and suspension wise.

now my question, for that price would it be worth turning it in to a purely race car.... maybe get levox windows(is that what they are), do soem weight reduction, get some good race wheels, better suspension, better brakes... and a SR20VE or DET... along iwth some other minor parts

Race car... or just build my current one (has to be daily driven though, so down time sucks)

if i were u i'd buy it. the missing seats, rims, and windows give u an excuse to go lightweight. u could probably find a lightweight xe seat and you'll only need one if its going to be a racecar.

im doing the same thing only in reverse order of you...im building a race car right now then getting a daily driver...sortof...my current car is going to be my abuse car/daily driver until i pick up a daily driver (i am thinking something with 4 doors and creature comforts)

let me tell you...the 2 dont mix. i found that one out the hard way when my engine decided it was time to spin a bearing. the sad thing about it...the car only had 152200 miles on it.

I kinda did the same thing. When my NX got to be too uncomfortable to drive every day, I just bought another one to drive.
