Few questions here, I know I have a 1.6, but my first tank of gas, I'm getting about 23 mpg... I know I did all the tuning on this tank and so it was running a long time with no driving in most days, but what are some of the ways to get better gas mileage other than not boosting as often? I try to take it easy on the pedal but it's my first week and it's too fun not to :D ... I just put the MBC in and I'm wondering if that will help mileage?
Also how long do most of you run the engine before turning off the motor? What I've been doing is idling for 30-90 secs before shutting down depending on how hard I was driving before, is that adequate?

you have a boosted 1.6? thats a rare one!
it sounds like you need to save 100 bucks and get a decent turbo timer...i personally am anal and would let it idle for a few mins reguardless.
do you have pics of the 1.6 setup? id like to see that.

Give the ECU a couple weeks to settle in. Your mileage on the highway should be good. City mileage is depends on your foot.
Cheers,
Charlie :)

If you run synthetic oil, and especially if you have a BB turbo, don't worry about letting it sit. Just don't boost for the last 4 or 5 minutes of your drive, and you'll be fine.

Hey good advice thank you... I've been taking it slow when I get through the gates in my association and I pump the heater on high, then when I get home I just idle the car for about 30 sec before I shut it down...
