No I wasan't refering to the plate. I have a piece of thin white plastic in front of the IC. Held in place by zip ties of course. It is thick enough to repel road stuff like rocks and snow but its thin enough so I could slip it in place.

Clean HAHAHAHA! The camera hides the dirt well..very well. See the dull spots?...that is the salty grime.
