i put a 200 dollar down payment down on my new JDM today. It looks really clean, the one cam lobe i can see thru the valve cover has no scoring or anything on it. the oil pan looked straight from what i could see. the sensors on the back side of the engine looked clean and not melted giving no indication of overheating. the inlet and outlet coolant hoses were clean. distributor was intact. motor turned when using a wrench on the crank pulley so its obviously not seized up.

downside...throttle body was kinda stuck closed i had to pry a little bit to open it. ill be replacing it with my USDM TB. the valve cover had been off it looks like and there was some MINOR seepage from the plug holes. very minimal. that will be replaced with new gaskets as well.

i hope to spend a little time cleaning the jdm up, its not very dirty, but it has a few things that need cleaning. other than that this motor looks to be good.

i talked them down to 500 even which i think is a pretty darn good deal.
