OK Wicked SR20 and I checked out a park today called Allen Pond (correct me if I'm wrong wicked). It's right off of 301. Found a nice spot, plenty of room. One large on small grill under a pavillion. Only problem is if we can reserve it! If this fails our second move it to rent the dyno place (Temptest)for Sat. for $700 (need to double check this price) and set up a grill in their lot. It's pretty big. Please post if you plan to come. We still need to know how many plan to attend, commitment for cooks and those who will be purchasing various items, such as plates, forks food ect. Plus we will need a small fee for the items and dyno from everyone to pull this off. Also vote which U would like to do most. Let's ge this going peeps. Thanks :cool: GTIRoids

About 2-5 miles north of it. Same rd. 301. It's a great location. Hope we can get it.

I might be 'down' for the ride 'up', just need a place to stay friday night, maybe saturday. This open for us lower(SC) east coasters ?

You could get from this park to the track in about 10 min. easy. Not far at all from Capitol. Either option would be fine for me.

It would be good to know how many people wanted to dyno. The guy at the shop said he can do 15 cars @ 750 for the whole day. Which is about $50 a car. I'm going to get a # to the park and then post if I can get the park. The park is spacious and very close to capitol so I'll let everyone know. If we cannot get the park I'm shooting for the final call is to use the park we had the convention (200) in and just hang out, geek (for those who don't mind getting dirty) then go crusin. How does this sound to everyone?

i'd also have no problem staying that friday or saturday night up there if i knew there would be people doing stuff. if nobody has a couch or a place for my car, i could split a hotel w/ anyone else staying around.
i have the whole weekend off, but if i came up friday, it'd be late...i'm off work here at 5.

BTW-could anyone there show me how to install/wire in sidmarkers?? (just lemme know what i need and i can bring it)

99se.ltd, I've never done sidemarkers but I'm pretty sure we can figure it out.
As far as an update on the park I was looking at wickedsr20 made it pass there today and you have to go to city hall to get a permit to use there grounds. The dyno spot is kinda small if there are more than 20 cars attending. We could do it there but we would also need to have $700 by Yuesday fo next week to reserve the dyno for that weekend. I don't think we can collect that kind of $$ on such short notice. So mpg999 fill us in about the park you found???? It looks like this may be a cookout/geek out meet ;)

Is this still on the same date? I've been looking at patuxtent River state park, but I"ve never met a less-informed bureaucracy than that county. Did anyone drive by it and see if it would fit?

But since there wont be a dyno, where do you guys wanna cruise after that? I just hope not DC, the roads just put a hurtin on my car recently.
