crap i know it doesnt make much of a difference but the stock rears are just way too small, any other ideas besides just getting slotted or cross drilled

The rear brakes are NOT too small. They don't have much work to do, so why add the weight penalty of uneeded mass?

basically it was just a thought that popped into my head during class, i have had problems with my rear calipers so im going to change them and was kinda wondering what it would take to do.

You'd need to retrofit a connection for the parking brake, among other things. Biasing, too? All thankless and expensive changes for little improvement.

My SE-R had over 100,000 miles on the clock before I changed the rear pads. Real hard workers, there. ;)

Just stick with good pads and fluid and you'll have all the haul-down power you need.

Don't do it. Rear brakes off G-20 or Maxima SE will bolt right up. Hardest part for me was getting rotor re-drilled. Hope your tires are up to the task. May need to re-adjust e-brake a few days later.

After I put NX fronts on my Sentra I set out to get bigger rear brakes. Looking at other cars on the road it seemed like SE-R rear brakes are bigger than the front disc set-ups on a lot of similar sized cars, could just be my quick judgment poking around other people's cars in parking lots. Maybe the SE-R rear discs are not all that massive, but some other rear discs look to be no bigger than 7-8" across. Again that may be perseption.

sr20development sells the rear discs that are the maxima upgrade w/ 4 lug last time I looked if you really want bigger.

yeah i think im going to just stay with the stock ones and just get new lines, slotted rotors, and better pads. I was just sitting in class one day and was like " hmmmmmmmm i wonder if that fits" you know how it is. thanks for the info ill pass it along to some of my classic buddies.
