I've been looking for posts on this. I saw someones post saying that this intake cam made a nice difference in the 97 se-r, but the results were not as good (worse even) in the 98+. Was this ever figured out or has anyone else had experience with this? I can't affor JWT cams right now, and looking to get a good used 91 cam. Thanks.

I believe you have it backwards. The 91 cam in a 98-99 SR20 will make more power than it will in the 97.

Well, here is the post I was talking about.

Ben98SentraSE said he actually lost power below 5200. I was wondering if other people have had the same results.

Yes, I do remember that post. In fact, I am the one who sold Ben the 91 cam http://www.sr20deforum.com/NonCGI/smile.gif

IIRC those were preliminary results, and Ben dynoed his car a little later on and regained power he had lost. It's hit or miss with these ECU's, some of them seem to learn mods quickly, others slowly.

Heh, cool, thanks for the info. Heh, you should change your name to PostMaster.

So, would this be a good mod for about $75 (or free if someone wants to donate one to me http://www.sr20deforum.com/NonCGI/smile.gif )?

I will say that it is most definitely worth the money. Here is the article on the 91 cams -vs- the 98 cams. It was scanned from the June 2000 issue of Sport Compact Car on page 274.

Doh, I'm interested in reading the article, but I can't see it http://www.sr20deforum.com/NonCGI/smile.gif Anywhere else I might find that article?

This is strange! If you keep hitting the refresh button about 2 to 3 times it will show.

If that does not work, go here:
