Hurray for technology. As a result of technology, I am able to receive pictures of bald men from Jason Garrett Young. I am also able to improve the performance of the forum. :)

Please report any bugs/errors you find. Thanks!

Forum seems a bit faster for me, but it's Sunday morning and hardly anyone is here... I'll have to check later when there's more activity.

The forum is now up to speed with my super fast internet connection. I hated waited like I was still on 56gay. Thanks sr20deboston, good move on your part! Now where are those pics from JGY?

The entire server that the forum was on has now been replaced by new hardware. I've also gone from a single-processor machine to a dual-processor one. :) Or do you want more specifics?

When is the name change going to happen?

This server is connected to some silly amount of bandwidth at this place (http://www.nedatavault.com). Aha! You can't knock AMD! ;) I have a dual-processor Athlon MP 2200 sitting here at my house, nearly ready for prime time. I repurposed a Dell Poweredge 1650 (Dual P3 1.1ghz) so I could get the forum moved sooner rather than later. From now on, there will be no more IDE drives in this house. :)

The name change is going to coincide with the launch of the final version of vBulletin 3 being installed and a new look and feel for the forum, among some other things. vBulletin 3b6 is being released tomorrow, and is expected by some to be the release candidate so it shouldn't be long now.

What does it cost to host this site at that hosting company? If you don't mind me asking! Just curious what this site cost you to run?

Two CPu isn't always better, but for a webserver with databases like this forum, it is definitly better. I can sure tell! At work, for our simple web and ftp we have single processor servers, but our main server with SQL and user data is a dual processor machine. Gotta love em!

It's especially good when you're using a true SMP operating system, which means- not Windows. :)

Right on, we used a Linux server for a long time for web hosting and email serving. Don't ask me how we ended up with two win2k servers now.

I am getting runtime errors all the time that I never got before. Do you know what may be causing that?

Also it's not saving my log in name. i have to re log in everytime i visit the website. say im in the website, and then i go check my email. Then i decide to come back, i have to log in again. Just use to having it easy, and not having to log in each time.

Ok... I will be looking into this tonight. Does it give you any error messages when you try to send/reply?

Negative, as soon as I hit the send button it kicks me to the log in page.
