But what does it all mean Basil!? Sorry I'm tring to find what overlap is and the searching is giving me a whole lot of info that is way over my head and explains nothing grrrrrrrr

SR20VET
Intake cam
Low lobe: 8.0mm lift @ 212 duration
High lobe:11.0mm lift @ 248 duration

Exhaust cam
Low lobe: 11.3 mm lift @ 244 duration
High lobe: same

The VET has 13 degrees of overlap on the high-rpm-intake cam and single exhaust cam. There is no overlap with the SR20VET on the low-rpm-intake cam and single exhaust cam.

Is there a part number for the SR20VE (20V)? Is this a US buy or Japan only? G Spec does not list this cam. Hello, anyone home?

What will work best for turbo? I have the stock sr20ve cams and they have less overlap than the 16 cams, but I get reversion when the cams switch? What cam would give the best spool characteristics and power within an 8k rev limit?

I am told to take out 10 degrees of overlap first to see how it does but I don't know much about cams and stuff. What would make a potent turbo cam as far as cam selection and cam timing?

This combo will have 60* overlap vs. the having 70* overlap with both 16ve cams.
The 60* overlap is with the 16ve intake cam centerline at 100*ATDC and the 20ve exhaust cam centerline at 114*BTDC.

While I'm at it, More VE camshaft overlap:
SR20VET - 13*
SR20VE - 48*
SR20VE 20V - 57*
SR16VE - 70*
SR16VE - N1 (v1?) - 78*

edit: added vet cams

Figured this would help this thread.

The 20V cam is from a European Primera SSS. How can we get it here?

VET cams may look a bit low on the duration side of things, but the lift is where it's at. They seem to look perfect for turbo. I guess I will find out.

The SR20VE and SR16VE can be interchangeable cam shaft
