So like the title says, I'm new in town, and I'm having problems with detonation. I've checked my fuel pressure, i regapped my plugs to .29 a week or 2 ago. Still this problem persists. I have a pressure teter but no where to do it. Most likely there will not be a boost leak, i don't think, because in 5th gear I can get 8 lbs. and it hold solid. If I try to gas it in any other gear i get detonation. To my knowledge i have set the timing to 15* and still no luck. I'm getting really frustrated.

PLEASE!!!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

This might sound stupid but what kind of gas are you using, our gas here sucks big time, the best we have is 91 octane and that is the only gas I put on my car. Hope this helps, later.

well all i have run in it is 91. i'm thinking that maybe i don't have my timing right, because when i set it, it was a pain the in the ass, and i was trying to be quick.

anyone?? come on people somebody PLEASE help me out here.
