: FMIC pipe routing

Hey guys, my DET install is getting close to completion and I am in need of advice/pictures of where to route the IC and Intake pipes. I am using a starion IC modified to straight in/out pipes on the sides like the $$$ ones. Where should I route the pipes with minimal body cutting?

Also, do you guys with the big ICs have the bumper reiforcement (the metal under the plastic cover) totally removed? Thats the way it looks in the pics with the plastic part cut away.

Thanks,
Matt

Do u still have your AC? www.geocities.com/yellow4g63/sr20det (http://www.geocities.com/yellow4g63/sr20det) look at the pics of how we did his intercooler piping. We cut the support in two, took out the middle part.

I took the AC out of the car. Did you cut the big metal bumper in two or are you talking about the radiator support?

We cut the metal bumper. I don't think u can put the bumper back on without the support in place. We also cut the into the frame a lil to fit the IC piping from the turbo as u can see in the pics.

What size core is that Griffen, is it similar to these: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/intercoolers.htm

Do you know how it compares to the Spearco or HKS as far as effeciency is concerned (basicly is it as good, or better)?
