weird groves on head... (sr20det)

i'm not sure what this part is called... the cam shaft rests in these.. this is the bottom peice (top peice and cam is removed)

BG info: had to remove head due to valves in #1 and #3 going to shit (got the car like that)


there are only grooves on the intake side and on the 3rd there are 2. i was wondering what caused this and if the head was ok. It doesnt seem like they would hurt anything, but I could be wrong... here are some pics..

#2 picture Ouch , looks like you need a head, that was caused by lack of lubrication , you will need a new head and cam(s) ..... Or you may try your local machine shop , they can sometimes fix that , either by welding or by instaling a bearing .... The rest of the pics look normal ...

i think it be cheaper just to get a new head.
