When are the the Lowprts ones coming out? Or can you use the Highport ones?

Since you brought up this topic, I just want to share with you guys that I am testing a new composite material right now which I stumbled upon while researching composites for the flange of a cf intake manifold. This new composite I discovered should have a much lower heat conductivity than phenolic. It is still in the lab at my university and I was just setting up an experiment to test the difference between phenolic and this yesterday. If it passess the tests, I can have intake manifold spacers without overly extending the length of the already long runners. Just wanted to share *** I am very excited!

On a side note, I just installed the Outlaw Spacers and my car lost a few tenths at the track. Hopefully it will turn out to be something else that is wrong.

Has anyone done any independent dyno testing? It's not always best to take manufacturer's/dealer's tests as proof in favor of their product.

AaroNX, testing the effectiveness of a performance product at the track is not a sure fire way of gauging it's abilities as track conditions and driver inconsistancy cannot be accounted for.

yeah cant take there word for it.anyone feel a diff by way of the butt dyno?

I can't say that I felt any difference in the butt dyno, but thats because I installed these spacers when I went turbo (so there was a big gain if you know what i mean ;) )

HOWEVER, if I were to drive around for several hours, pop my hood as soon as I pulled into a parking lot, and put my hand on the intake manifold as close to the head as I could get, it would be cool to the touch. Try driving around for an extended amount of time (or even letting the car idle for 10 mins) and touching the manifold, it will be HOT.

I'm pretty much sold on the product, It does exactly what they claim it to. Reduce intake manifold temps.

I'm sure reducing the IM temp works. The only way it can possibly lose power is from extending the length of the runners which I doubt will be enough to negate the increase due to temperature difference. Just look at the intercoolers. If having cooler surfaces serves no purpose, then why would every turbo car have an intercooler? The temperature difference of the IM with the spacer and without is probably greater than the difference in temp of an intercooler and the adjacent piping.

A friend of mine works at a test facility around here and they are working with this solid grey material that sounds like tile if you hit something with it. But, the special thing about it is you can take a blow tourch and heat a 4x4inch piece that is about 1/2 inch thick and hold it with your hand as you heat it up for as long as you want. It would be sweet to see this stuff on cars to reduce heat and this stuff can take that abuse up until about 1800'C. Its also pretty strong. I had a piece abut 2inches long 1 inch wide and 1inch thick and i couldn't break it with my hands.

I don't think the spacer is the problem on my car. And don't think that consistency is a problem with me. I run within a few hundredth's to thousandths most of the time. Friday I ran twice in a row, first run was 9.002, the second run was 9.003.

Yeah the car's kinda slow being an auto. Best is a 8.8 at 82 mph.

Low port spacers haven't been made yet. High port spacers are not interchangeable with low port heads. Outlaw engineering is still looking for someone with a low port SR20 car in the Cincinnati area for prototyping.

If anyone is available, they'll get the spacers for free (installed for free too, I assume).

Someone please step up!!

They do??? I hadn't seen anything posted on the forum. I'm about to do a low port motor swap, so I've been anxiously awaiting the low port spacers.

Sackerocket was the test mule for the high port wasn't he?
