pimpride 03-30-2004, 10:39 PM is a usdm power steering pump from an sr20de the same as a gtir pump? i was in an accident and the pump pulley bent and it keeps throwing the belt. i can get a pump off a 94 g20 for cheap and was just wondering if it would work. if not were can i get one. pimpride 03-30-2004, 11:37 PM I really need to know...Everytime I accelerate hard the belt flies off..TIA pimpride 03-31-2004, 08:28 PM anyone??? hello? pimpride 03-31-2004, 11:46 PM Mods, please move this to technical pimpride 04-02-2004, 01:23 AM problem solved. since nobody replied i will asume not to many of you know what power steering pump the gtir has. i went to the salvage yard and compared my pump to many others. the only one that comes close is the ga16de pump. it only needs some small stuff swapped over to the gtir unit and it works fine. but my problem wasnt actully with the pump but the pulley had cracked in the center hub and tweaked so it kept throwing belts. the ga uses a slightly smaller in diameter pulley than the gtir but it still uses the same size belt. took it out tonight and it worked perfectly. -SHAWN | ||
