: USDM DE w/FMAX kit VS. JDM DET w/FMAX kit Ben 10-02-2001, 06:09 AM Is there any advantage of getting a DET with it's lower compression going with an FMAX kit? Several people have been very successful in getting about 400 daily driven horsepower out of their stock USDM DEs with FMAX kits. Is there a reason? I know a DE with FMAX is a good option. Just wondering if there's any advantage to have a real DET with an FMAX over a DE with an FMAX. The DET still has it's limitations.
