I did the jdm sr20de u13 swap on my car b13, after i put it in the gauge meter went all the way up quick!!! Then i was told it was the jdm sender, so i went to a junk yard got a usdm one did the same freakin thing!!! so then i thought it was the gauge, just put in a new apc temp gauge and does the same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered a brand new sender that will be here in a couple days but im wondering if it is even the sender or gauge!!!!!! The only thing is, is after the swap I drove my car to washington and back 2,000 miles and at least another 1,000 miles since then and no water in oil and no problems and somtimes when it goes way up i will feel the engine and it wont even be hot!!! Not even my headers!!!! Have any of you had this problem???? Or do any of you know the solution?? Im in desperate need of help cause now im starting to think my car is really overheating but no loss of anti-freeze and my reserver tank is overflowing!!!! Could it be the other temp sensor with 2 wires? but i was told that just kicked in the fans. If anyone could help or give a GOOD opinion i would really really really appreciate it im going nuts, I just spent 3gs on this swap and dont wanna mess up my engine!!! And the temp sensor I ordered was for a 93 2.0L im assuming the u12, does it matter I have a u13??? PLEASE HELP!!!
and also i installed a tach today (didnt have one before) and im pretty positive i hooked it up right (green wire on bottom side of coil) and it goes to 35 in first gear is this normall? :D I hope.. Thanks again in advance!

buy a digital thermometer from walmart and put it in your radiator hose thermostat side....they handle up to 350 or something like that and if your car is runnin that hot well you have issues ......

wouldnt it have blown the headgasket by now if it was really running that hot?
and does anyone now the running temp of a sr20?

well i have a switch on my fans cause the jdm swap so even with fans on all the time it shoots up past 250 degree mark, also i can leave my car parked at work for 8 hours plus and when i come out and put the key to the acc ign part or start the car it will automaticaly be at half !!!!!!!WHAT COULD THIS BE???????? IM DESPERATE! and I appreciate everyones help!!

any also does anyone know or think that if ive drove 3000 miles with the temp needle at highest point, higher then H that my engine would be f*cked? or water would be going out like crazy from the resivor?

ok guyz i know its not the temp sender because my friend with a sr20 came over (yes this late at night!!!) and i put his in and exact same f*cking thing and when i went outside sure enough the temp was still at 240??????? on the gauge!! Is my head gasket blown? and if so how do i tell? when would i see bubbles or would the oil in coolant be REALLY noticable???? i stuck my finger in the radiator at past 250 and it was burning me nore' was the water boiling over??????? and also if it was a blown head gasket how? because its done this every since ive bought the motor!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP....

k the water isnt circulating either? so after hours of reading on this awesome site (and I mean that), i read on the "nissanforums.com" and there f*cking dumb!!,ok anywayz im pretty sure that it is cause my heater core is clogged and the whole air thing? so if it was that do you guys think that after running 3000 miles that my headgasket if blown? no water in oil and the antifreeze looks cool too besides wierd little floating pieces that i dont think is oil, or maybe im hoping its not oil? but my car still has hella power, so is it probably blown? the engine only has 7k on it and no white smoke either.I know these are pretty much all my posts but i figured the more info the better cause I cant even sleep over this!!! (car nut) THANKS AGAIN!!!
