I was going to wait for help this coming weekend (as I've never done anything like this before) but I needed to get this done asap as I have some other things happening soon and the car needs to be running.

Anyways...the project was putting in the 50lb injectors, JGY Fuel rail, Nismo FPR and Cobra MAF.

1st ~ pulled off the upper intake plenum...not so hard but now remembering where all the hoses etc go when I put it back together is the fun part.

2nd ~ pulled out the stock fuel rail and 370cc injectors.

3rd ~ clipped the stock injector clips and soddered the new MSD50lb clips in place.

4th ~ jacked up car and removed the stock maf, Clipped the stock harness off and soddered in place the Cobra MAF harness. Upon further inspection it is found out that now I need a new coupler to go from the turbo inlet pipe(2.5inch) to the new maf(3inch) where the old one was 2.5 to 2.5. Sucky. Also need a new air filter with a 3.5 inch inlet rather than the 3 inch of the one that came with the turbo kit originally...sucky again.

5th ~ Was going to go ahead and put the rail w/injectors in and get it at least primed and ready...eh...no...turns out that with this rail and the nismo FPR that there's a bracket that actually needs to be cut out. Do I actually need to do this or can I just run a hose from the rail to the FPR and relocate it so I don't have to cut the bracket?

So to do list...

1) Order new filter, pipe coupler and Fuel pressure gauge
2) Figure out what to do with the bracket that's in the way...cut it or relocate the FPR
3) Install Fuel rail w/injectors and fuel pressure gauge
4) Install MAF
5) Put ECU back in
6) Prime the injectors
7) Re-install intake plenum and other tid bits
8) Get the car running

Sounds like you must have a low port.... us high-port guys have it easy, just take off a few bolts and pull the rail.

If you PM me later, I have the part number for the K&N filter you need.. I had to call K&N with the dimensions I wanted to get one for my Cobra MAF.

FYI.. after you get the fuel rail installed, you'll have to check for leaks. My MSD 50lb injectors in the JWT rail were very picky, they didn't like to be tightened down too much, or else gas would leak from around the O-rings (I even bought new O-rings!)

Thanks for the advice...I PM'd you on the filter

Anyone on the bracket on the high port that's in the way? I'm I the only Low port that's had to deal with this?

Depends what type of rail you have. Some JGY / FTF rails dont have a spot for the FPR, which allows you to run one away from the rail (e.g. Aeromotive on firewall w/ hose from rail.). If it does have the space for the FPR then you have to cut or disconnect the bracket.

Ooops just realized you have the Nismo, which means the rail must have a space for it....so cut/disconnect away.

Update....From before...

So to do list...

1) Order new filter, pipe coupler and Fuel pressure gauge (got these ordered and installed)
2) Figure out what to do with the bracket that's in the way...cut it or relocate the FPR (Actually instead of cutting or modifying the bracket we flipped the rail around and extended the fuel inlet line along with the fuel return and vacuum line for the FPR.)
3) Install Fuel rail w/injectors and fuel pressure gauge (Everything fits like a charm although changing the oil filter will be a bitch but worth it.)
4) Install MAF (Did this but had the two signal wires switched around which caused start up issues)
5) Put ECU back in (put the ECU in and reset it)
6) Prime the injectors (found a couple of leaks due to not enough tightening on my part but all fixed)
7) Re-install intake plenum and other tid bits (figured out that I should get a new gasket as it's a crush style so ordered this along with a TT fuel filter. Installed plenum and worked fine)
8) Get the car running

On initial start up everything seemed 'off'. Car was missing either in the fuel or something. We were pretty sure we did everything right. Turned out that the signal wires to the cobra MAF were switched, my bad, fixed those and the car fired right up with no issues. Drove around the block and realized we needed to adjust the FPR. Hooked up the fuel injection test kit and dialed it into 43psi and tightened it down. Go for another drive and notice that i'm pulling 1 bar, that's not right...should be holding at .6 bar (8psi). Although we did notice there wasn't any detonation with the 1 bar it was running we checked under the hood and noticed the vacuum line for the Boost controller was pinched between the battery and the intake pipe..easy fix and car holds boost and pulls nice and smooth...idle is also very smooth right now.

Next up is just driving the car the way it is for a couple of hundred miles then get the s3 cams installed.

Thanks to all of those people that helped with advice.
