Hi guys i own a 92 180sx with the red top motor and its an auto. i was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of the speed limiter? ive heard that you can bypass it, but i would not know where to look for it in the ecu. If anyone has a diagram of the ecu and can tell me how to bypass it or wateva that would be a great help. Or give me an address where i can find diagrams and just a few diy instructions. Any help would be appreciated because i dont really want to spend the money on a new ecu, im just sik of being limited to 180kl/h in a turbo car.
Thanx guys. :)

I've no experience with the 180SX but a quick way to disable the speed limiter on my KA24DE (from a US spec S13) was to simply unplug the gearbox switches. Without those the ECU doesn't know the car is in 4th or 5th so it cannot work out the speed from rpm and won't limit it. I've no idea if this works with the SR as I'm new to SR's myself but it might.

The downside if while it de-limited the engine it no longer uses closed loop which affects economy a bit ....but then speed or economy? Not a hard choice!
