no doubt... probably not with the motor swap though, i think ill put the motor in, run that at the track then put the cams in...

so i've been searching, the only sensors that need to be swapped over is the water temp, and 02 correct??

Get a new water pump and seals while you are at it. Good insurance and since the engine is out, why not?

Also make sure you resurface your flywheel, if its an manual. Good insurance also.

while it is out get pullies and the thermoblock spacers, makes everything alot easier

I have thermoblok spacers and the 2pc pulley set already, im gona swap em over when both are out, id hate to do the spacer install again while its in the car

the flywheel is a fidanza that was put in 8K ago, so everything should be ok

I have a hard time understanding how changing only the engine/mechanicals will fix a hesitation problem, but I have seen weirder shit then that. :confused:

sounds like you already know to swap the intake manifolds since the usdm idle control valve are different... plus you would loose emissions.

i agree, i'd hate to see you do it and still have the problem,
of cource the jdm will have a lot of new sensors,the PROBLAMATIC ones (aicv,tps,cts,etc)

i didnt know the idle control was different, anyone else have input?

exactly, im not gona bust my ass anymore throwing sensors and wires and stupid shit like that anymore..


new: dist, cam position sensor, ignitor, coil, knock sensor, idle equip, none of the vacuum lines are messed with, a motor that doesnt have egr that is set up that way... the list goes on and on of things that will cause hesitations... and who knows where to start
