Ok, I searched did not find the answer.

It's late, so I know the dealership is closed (west coast).

So my question is: Can I use RTV sealant or do I need to get the gasket from the dealership?

Will RTV plug any oil holes, if i'm careful? Please advise.

IIRC there are no oil holes near the tensioner, I just used RTV and kept an eye on it, there's never been a leak.

same here too, the metal came away from the other part and i just used some grey silicone and it solved

when i bought my car the tensioner was leaking, since it was under warentee they fixed it buy applying some sort of gasket, rtv something.

so i suggest at least putting some rtv on it to prevent oil from leaking
