hey guys,
im relitivly new to the car world, so basicly i dont know a lot about these sort of things.
i was wondering if any one would be able to give me an idea on the pocess (difficalties/ major changes etc) of fitting a sr20-det to a 1983 3 series bmw.
i own the bmw and the engine is basicly dead. and rather than buy a new car i thought i would try and make a machine out of the one i have.
i live in brisbane australia, so any contacts around my area would be greatly apreciated.
also if there is any one out there who has done a similar thing i would love to hear from you.

yeah good, i think. I have done a bit of research... talked to the guy on benboydesign.com and have found (i hope) that its not that hard to do, gearbox lines up with the hole and everything, Nissan nose needs to be welded onto tail shaft, the main problem is that the exhaust is on the wrong side, which you cant do anything about. there is a mechanic i know through the bmw club brisbane who has done a similar transplant. he said he would be happy to help me out, will hopefully start it in next month or so. need money....

thats a really cool project, post some pics for us loosers in the states. everyone here would have just said "buy a car with an sr20 already in it". everyone here is so narrowminded.

in the meantime, I've thrown together a photoshop of an N16 Pulsar with a nitro drag engine. hehe
