well i sold my 240 yesterday because im buying a g20 today. anyway the g20 owner tells me he has all the paperwork together bla bla bla. i call him last nite to see *** a good time was to meet up with him but he tells me some bad news. it seems that the car was in his parents name, but he wanted to change it to his name. so by changing it over, it seems that the title is still in Albany and now im fvcked. i have an extra car but this sucks. does anyone know if theres anyway i can get a temp. title if the me and the car owner go to the dmv? how long does the title process usually take? any advice would be great. thanks.

Does the car still have a lien on it?? I do a lot of paperwork for dealerships out here in CT and I handle titles all the time. If it's still got a lien on it ur not gonna get the title anyway until its paid off, ovbiously. If not though, try calling the town of albany and getting the number for dmv and using the orginial owners name, find out what the $^&* is going on........its not a big deal to switch the car into this guys name then into yours.....its really simple. if ur not from ny ***, ull just have to bring it thru inspection like every other out of state title
