I feel bad for askin this if its allready posted.. But, There is some guy whom is getting rid of his NX2000 all I have to pay for is the towing.. Hes located just 15 miles away not even that. Its totalled pretty much, and the car looks rolled.. lol. I just want an sr20 to build up and make real strong. This would be ideal. being its highport and all. (I have a 99 SEL with 130k miles on it Lowport) and I may have that backwards.. Anyways. Should I pay the 200 bucks for towing and have an ECU wireing harness and Engine included with only like 30k on it. Should I be worried about the car being smashed to Hell? Or since im lookin for a good sr20 to take apart and build strong.. this would be perfect? or maybe not? Help! Answers or comments would help. Thanks..

Make sure there was no damage done to the motor during the accident. Other than that go for it. What do you have to lose?

I got my current motor from a wrecked NX. The egr setup on top was damaged from being pushed into the firewall, and the crank pulley was shattered. The motor started right up and runs fine.

Agreed, go for it. Travis this is the first time I've seen you on here...and with a price like that check and make sure the engine/tranny are all right, if so you could make more than that on the part out, hell I'll help.

hell ya man, do it. do the regular stuff when you get it out, freeze plugs, bearings,t/stat, maybe water pump, you sure it only has 30k on it?
not much for an nx, average of about 2-3k a year??

DAMN ! 200 bucks to tow it
I mean the car is worth it, but I would find a buddy to tow it, if at all possible.
Wrecker Service must be the line of work to be in, up in Ohio. Hell I can get a car towed 60 miles for 75 Bucks.

Go for it, I bought a rolled DET NX, it looked like crap but would crank and purr like a kitten even all smashed up. That engine is now in my hardtop, finally got it cranked again two days ago.

One thing to be aware of, you will have to pay to get the old carcass hauled off again... unless you can find a junk yard that will come pick it up. I paid $45 to have mine hauled to the crusher.

I would take someone who knows about the motors with me to check it out.

And Travis, there is nothing wrong with having a low-port. Whoever tells you otherwise should be bitch-slapped.

that's a heck of a deal, and you can probably get it towed for cheaper than that. Rent a uhaul trailer for $40 and borrow a truck.

low-ports suck **awaiting slap**

find someone with a trailer and save some money. Make sure he gives you the title and everything, he might end up reporting it stolen or something.

IIRC, this egg has a 10:1 motor in it. So that mileage pertains to the "supposed" mileage of the motor, not the car itself. I wouldn't buy it if I noticed even a minor issue with that motor.

Hell yeah!!!
But again, call around for a better price. Or go the "buddy w/ AQAA' path (Free!)
But that car has sooooo many food parts. The 10:1 motor is worth well over $200

Dont sleep on this deal! Dont let someone else tow it home first.
