I just put in my HS header..so now i have hotshot header and 2.25 piping with stock canister... so thats my exhaust system.. Am i losing alot of power because the restirictions of not having the performance muffler?.?.?. I just dont like the loadness and the annoying noise...

You stock muffler is designed to keep noise down, and not to promote flow. In my opinion you are just putting a cork on the end of what is otherwise a good flowing exhaust system. If you are afraid of noise then get the largest resonator you can fit under your car, that should keep the exhaust tone in check.

Either way if you want power you are going to have to deal with an exhaust that has a greater volume than the stock one. You'll find that with many modifications you are going to have to deal with things you may not like.

You have an aftermarket header and exhaust piping and still have the stock muffler? :confused:

Whats a good exhaust that looks close to stock and sounds close to stock but has good performance??? remember i already have the pipping i just need the canister... Totally off topic but if you guys didnt notice you can pre order the HS GEN 6 header right now... go to the all motor section and you will see the post from HSperformance... just spreading the word

How about one of those exhaust off of Ebay with a silencer??? i mean an exhaust is an exhaust right?? does having the silencer in hold back horsepower too??

It says open for maximum high end power and closed for maximum low end torque... :squint: It doesnt really give 10HP!! right?

I would suggest going wth a Magnaflow 14815 muffler. That's what I have and most people wouldn't even know I had an aftermarket echaust. If you are concerned about sound then stay clear of those E-bay cans.

The first album has pictures of the exhaust on my car, and the modifications album had pictures of the exhaust before I installed it. I purachased everything from VRS all welded and ready to install.

does the Magnaflow 22" Resonator replace the 2.25"piping??

It only replaces 22" of the piping! :D If you get a resonator welded into your current piping, the shop will just cut out a length of pipe where you want the resonator.
