Okay, I'd first like to thank Fig for his posts which inspired me to put my car on a diet. But I was looking and if I were to strip all of the previous seat backing(the metal) and the metal going across the rear strut towers where the window deck used to be...I know it would look cleaner and reduce some weight...but what could I use for an rstb which would be much stronger than a normal one since all of the support will be gone? I guess I just want my car to look like a hatch....lol

I'd use that aluminum uni-strut stuff that figgy, or someone else used and I'd also triangulate it or cross brace it. There might be some threaded holes near the trunk floor/seat bottom that you could connect to.

I didn't think of doing the bottom, but if taking away from there(smacks self in head for skipping obvious). I just think having it all looks odd without the seats so might as well make it look more like a 2 seater. I will go to the hardware store today and check out some things to possibly brace it with.
