: Why are my taillights on?

I just went outside and my taillights are on! All the lights are off but my taillights. Anybody ever had this happen? I can't get them to shut off.

the switch by the petal is probley bad. It happened on my 200sx. a REAL PITA to change.

Yeah it's my brakelights I just pulled the fuse and they went off.

It's not the switch that went bad, it's the vinyl stopper attached to the brake pedal that has probably dried up and crumbled away. This is what a new one (the little green thing) looks like:

either way, it could be either. It was the switch on my 200sx.

I think you might owe him because there is a couple pieces of broken plastic on the floor by the pedal.

Well I got it fixed, guess that's why i still have my 91 sitting in my garage for little crap like this. It was just that little rubber piece.
